The Carriage House is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is valued.
If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date before 3 PM to cancel your reservation. In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than 48 hours notice for up to 3 rooms, shorten your stay, or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund may be issued.
Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and with special requests. A 21-day cancellation notice is required on multiple bookings. A 14-day cancellation notice is required for some holidays and special events.
Preferred check-in time: 3:00 PM – 10:30 PM. If arriving outside of check-in times, please call to make arrangements.
- Absolutely no smoking indoors; however, designated outdoor smoking areas are available
- After you have checked in for your reservation, no refunds may be issued unless approved by management.
Double occupancy is two adults per room. Pricing is set for up to 2 adults per room and up to 4 adults for the 3 room family suite. For each room $10.00 is added per child (over 5 years of age) per night. $15.00 is added for each additional adult per night.
Guests receive free parking at our facility. Due to the unique parking lot layout, we are unable to accommodate coach buses or travel trailers longer than 15 feet. Extended cab trucks may park towards the back of our parking lot next to the office.
We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. No personal checks, please. We are unable to accept American Express.

How far is The Carriage House from Sight & Sound Theater?
We are conveniently located 1.7 miles from Sight & Sound Theater. From our parking lot take a left on to East Main Street. At the next traffic light take a right on to North Decatur Street / 896 North. Continue on 896 North for one mile. The theater will be on the left at the intersection of 896 North and Herr Rd.
Do the rooms have a mini-fridge?
Yes. All rooms are equipped with a mini-fridge.
Do the rooms have a microwave? What about an iron? Bath-mat?

Do you have handicap accessible rooms?
We do not currently have rooms that are ADA compliant.
What time is check-out?
I enjoy listening to the Amish buggies going by at night. Can I request a room closer to the road?
Yes. Mention this in the reservation comments and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Is breakfast included?
For each night you stay with us, you’ll receive a voucher to use across the street at Speckled Hen Coffee and Kitchen. They serve up craft coffee and fresh, artisan foods daily. Just choose from the selected items listed on your voucher or apply $5 towards anything on the menu.
Is your facility pet friendly?
Unfortunately, we are not pet-friendly facility at this time.
Do you offer non-smoking rooms?
Yes. All rooms are non-smoking.
I’m checked in and…where’s the hairdryer?
A hairdryer is available for your use and is located underneath the sink in the bathroom vanity.
Have all the rooms been renovated?
Yes! All rooms feature new paint, linens, mattresses, furniture, décor, and flooring.
Can I request the top floor of your hotel for the view, or the bottom floor for ease of access?
We are a one level inn, so you can park right in front of your room. No steps or elevators to navigate!
Preferred check-in time starts at 3 PM. What if I have a 3 PM Sight & Sound show?
You are more than welcome to check-in after the show, or we will try our best to have the room ready for you by 1 PM. Please list your estimated arrival time on your reservation so we are aware of your plans.
I’m rather sensitive to traffic noise, can I request a room further off the road?
Mention this in the reservation comments section, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. We also supply earplugs in each bedroom should you desire them.
